IBZ, a new film directed by Matthew Rowney and written by Kat Ronson, premiered at the Soho Hotel, London yesterday night.

Filmed on location in Portugal, the short follows Daisy (Kat Ronson) as she reveals the darker side of the nightlife scene in Ibiza through an emotionally-charged dramatic monologue.

After the premiere, Matthew said: “I was attracted to IBZ because it was like nothing I had ever done before. I wanted to tackle a more dramatic subject in a new way and the script really confronts the emotional trauma that can accompany the seemingly harmless party environment of an island like Ibiza.

“I enjoyed the challenge of making such heavy-hitting content more accessible for an international audience. We had some long days filming in Europe and it was nice to be able to reunite with the cast & crew for the premiere.”
